Honeymoon Checklist

honeymoonWhether you organize the honeymoon yourselves or pay a travel agency to do it for you, there are lots of things to bear in mind when preparing this special trip. Check out which of the ideas mentioned below apply to your honeymoon (or print this checklist before you go to the travel agency so that you can go through the list with the agent).

Don’t feel overwhelmed by all the ideas pointed out here. Just pick the ones that best suit your dream honeymoon.

  • Check activities offered on site (excursions, relax, museums to visit…)
  • Check passport / visa terms (see www.travel.state.gov)
  • Consider languages (How will you communicate with locals?)

  • Pack calculator for foreign currency
  • Prepare and pack travel checks / credit card / cash

Tip #1: Many hotels have special offers for newlyweds. Don’t hesitate to ask for such offers, it might really be worth it!

Tip #2: You can also include your honeymoon in your gift registry. It’s a nice way for guests to contribute and you don’t have to bear the total cost of your honeymoon.

Tip #3: Many couples with tight budgets, decide on a smaller wedding but a most memorable honeymoon, as the wedding lasts only a few hours, but the honeymoon several days.
